Folding

Folding

This method of fabrication experimented with taking a curving object and recreating it using a rectilinear folding paneling system.  The curved surface was created in Rhino and then broken down into rectilinear components.  The components were then split into pieces for fabrication.  Once the pieces were created, Rhino was used to give the panels lips and number each lip to match up with its folding counter part.  The pieces were cut out of paper on a lazer cutter and then assembled using the numeric system.
