Waffeling

Waffeling

This is a fabrication technique that uses a slotted construction method.  This means the pieces slide into one another to accurately assemble into the designed form.  This particular method was created in Revit (an architectural software) and was designed so all the pieces could be taken straight from Revit and put on to a lazer bed file.  The files were then cut and the object assembled.  This method can be used for larger fabrication assemblies as the pieces could of been cut out of plywood in a CNC router and created an undulating ceiling design.
